Research affirms that most teachers feel the teacher-training they received in college did not prepare them for teaching underachievers. Normally, every classroom has underachievers, although teachers do not always recognize them. All underachievers have one thing in common--they are the students who could do better, the students who will do better if teachers can find a effective way to motivate them.
